Lesser’s Nickelodeon, briefly managed by Sid Grauman in 1910, became the Biograph Theatre in 1912. At an unknown time, the Biograph became the Circle Theatre.

During subsequent years, the theatre name changed to Newsreel Theatre (1939-1949), Cinema Theater, the Crest Theater, the Egyptian Theater and the Electric Theater.
