The McVicker’s Theatre was a first-run house. A film review published in Chicago in early November 1922 referred to the theater as “the new McVicker’s Theater.” It is unknown whether this 1922 theatre was a new construction (since it is known that there was a McVicker’s Theatre in operation in Chicago in 1921), a remodeled theatre, or was simply under new management. The theatre is known to have been under Balaban and Katz management in 1926.
